How to Arrive at Lakhimpur

AIR

Dibrugarh Airport at Dibrugarh is about 128 kms away from District HQ and at present, it is connected to Kolkata and other major Indian cities by private airlines.
ROAD
By road, numerous tourist and State transport vehicles are operating daily to all major town of Assam viz. Guwahati, Tezpur, Nagaon, Dibrugarh, Tinisukia, Sivasagar, Jorhat etc. This vehicles have both daily day and night services.
Hiring cabs such as Tata Sumo, Maruti Van etc. are readily available to and fro Lakhimpur.
RAILWAY
Intercity Express (Murkongselek-Guwahati) to and fro Guwahati is operating between North Lakhimpur and Guwahati. via Rangia, Rangapara, Biswanath Chariali etc. The North Lakhimpur railway station is situated in Nakari, approximately 2 km. from the District HQ.
Another Intercity Express(Naharlagun-Guwahati) to and fro Guwahati is operating between Harmuti and Guwahati via Rangia, Rangapara, Biswanath Chariali etc. The Harmuti railway station(jn) is situated in Harmuti, approximately 30 km. from the District HQ.
WATER WAY
One can travel to Dibrugarh, Sivasagar and Jorhat(via Majuli) by crossing Brahmaputra river by ferry.
