Introduction

 

The District Industries & Commerce Centre (DICC) under Industries, Commerce and Public Enterpriese Deptt. Govt. of  Assam, serves as a key government body supporting local entrepreneurship, development  of Micro,Small and Medium enterprises (MSMEs)  and industrial development in the district. 

DICC Lakhimpur provides a range of services to promote industrial and commercial growth in the region, including:

Entrepreneurship Development: Organizing training programs and workshops to nurture entrepreneurial skills.

Financial Assistance: Facilitating access to government schemes, subsidies, and loans for businesses .

Infrastructure Support: Assisting in the development of industrial areas and providing  necessary facilities.

Market Promotion : Helping local industries in marketing their products through exhibitions and trade fairs.

Our History

The District Industries & Commerce Centre (DICC) Lakhimpur was established in March,1982 to facilitate industrial development in the district.

Our Mandate

(i)Promotion of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs):

(ii)Encouraging the establishment and growth of MSMEs by providing necessary support and guidance.

(iii)Assisting entrepreneurs in navigating regulatory requirements and accessing incentives.

(iv)Implementation of Government Schemes:

(v)Acting as the nodal agency for various central and state government schemes aimed at industrial development.

 

Key Programme and Schemes

Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP)
  • PMEGP is a central sector, credit linked subsidy programme under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise department,Govt. of India and launched in 2008.

  • It aims at generation of employment through setting up of micro units

  • Maximum Project cost admissible for units in Manufacturing Sector is Rs.50 Lakh and Service Sector is Rs.20 Lakh

  • Subsidy admissible, Urban area-25% and Rural area-35% of total project cost.

  • Owner contribution 5% of project cost

Pradhan Mantri Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) Scheme:
  • PMFME is a centrally sponsored scheme under Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) , credit linked subsidy programme of Govt. of India and launched in 2020.

  • It aims to support Micro enterprises in food processing sector

  • Rate of subsidy 35% of eligible project cost(max. 10 lakhs).

  • Owner contribution 10% of project cost 

 

CMAAA:
  • The “Chief Minister’s Atmanirbhar Asom Abhijan” is a visionary initiative of Hon’ble Chief Minister to create entrepreneurship oriented ecosystem in the state of Assam.

PM Vishwakarma:
  • A Central Govt. scheme to support Artisans& Crafts people engaged in 18 nos. of trade and was launched in September, 2023.

  • Skill Up gradation training 

  • Toolkit incentives of Rs. 15,000/(through e-voucher)

  • Loans up to Rs. 1,00,000/- (1st tranche)

  •                             Rs. 2,00,000/- (2nd tranche)

  •    With fixed interest rate 5%
