Introduction

Narayanpur Cultural Centre is an Cultural Centre under the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Assam ,
which deals with the promote preserve and popularise the art & culture of the locality.

Our History

The Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Assam has established 38 nos of Cultural centre in various places
of Assam for promote, preserve and popularise the art & culture of the locality and Narayanpur
Cultural Centre is one of them. These centres are not belong to district level or sub-divisional level
office.

Our Mandate

Narayanpur Cultural centre exercises various cultural activity of all forms like folk art & culture and
traditional as well as modern art & culture

Key Programme and Schemes

Narayanpur Cultural Centre collect the data of various artists , Cultural organisations and observe
prominent cultural celebration like Silpi Divas, Bishnu Rabha Divas, Natasurya Divas, Dr. Bhupen
Hazarika Divas etc. as well as conduct summer and winter vacation workshop of various cultural
issues. Artists pension selection procedure is also look after by the centre.

Achievements

Narayanpur Cultural Centre achieved remarkable appreciation from the enthusiasts of cultural arena
by conducting workshops on different folk and traditional art forms as well as conducting various
cultural programmes.

Future Plan

The Narayanpur Cultural Centre has successfully contributed in “Mega Bihu” event and “Mega
Jhumoir” event by selecting , providing training, to the aspiring and talented artist of the concerned
field and now preparing for “Mega Bagrumba” dance event in coming days.
